Carpenter and Cook

Found a hidden gem - The vintage themed cafe located at Lorong Kilat.

The cafe was creatively designed with vintage furnitures and home decor and they are all for sell. So if you were to decorate your house in vintage theme, you will know where to shop for the themed stuff.

Found out an interesting story behind Carpenter and Cook from their website. The cafe was set up by 3 sweet friends that each of them forte in different fields. The carpenter is referring to the chief of designs who always had a passion in textiles and fashion. The cook is referring to the pastrisseries expert who are well trained and honed her skills in London sometimes back. While the "and" loves to participate in everything and making things look pretty. Nice one huh?

Mummy was drunk by the aromas of coffee once I step into this tiny and cosy cafe.

We went there at around 4pm+ and was shocked by the crowd in the cafe. We waited for about 15mins for a table. And the staffs are very polite and friendly. The sweet smile always carve on their face.

L.A.T.T.E - $4.80

Is of a small cup, you won't had enough because it's really delish! The coffee here is using an artisan rosted bean - Liberty Coffee's Speakeasy Blend.

Hot Chocolate - $5.20

Kudos to the "Cook", the pastries here are real good stuff. The creations here are unique and stylish and of course it's delicious!

Passionfruit Meringue Tart - $6.20

The tart stuffed with rich and smooth passionfruit cream, or maybe should I say smoothies? The texture is like a watery cream, and it is flowing out from the tart. A perfect combination of sweet and sour.

Brownie - $6.20

The brownie goes well with a cup of coffee if you find it a little bit dry. The feeling is like you are eating a cookies instead of a cake with a good balance of sweetness.
